That's our motto, and those are the things we believe will change the world one person at a time.
The idea was born when Katie graduated from college. Abbie was busy being a full-time mom to two growing toddlers, but both of them dreamed of opening a business together that would have a purpose bigger than just the two of them.
Through their father's nonprofit Global Effect, they heard about a group of women in the Dominican Republic looking for a micro-loan to open a sewing business. They knew right away they wanted to employ them. Thus, their in-house brand, OKO, was born. It is hand-sewn and made by women in the Dominican and equips them daily to overcome. Abbie and Katie hope to live lives marked by acts of kindness and to continue giving opportunity to those who need it most.
Since then, they've opened the doors to another location in Rosemary Beach and continue to search for ways to live the OKO lifestyle daily.
Come say hello, we'd love to meet you!
